What is GCM?
GCM allows you easily set many game settings without the need of additional ESPs or console commands.
What can not be changed?
Survival settings (Hunger, Thirst, Fatigue, Sleep, Diseases etc.)
As survival has been added as a brand new script based system by Bethesda, it has been excluded from this mod and released as a standalone mod.
Survival Configuration Menu
Features a brand new eat and drink system, which relies on weight of the item instead of the caps value and allows you to control it. In addition to that, you can tweak many aspects of the survival added features. Like tweaking disease chance, disabling adrenaline. Choose how long you can maximally sleep on the different bet types. And more.
What can be changed?
There are a lot of settings within the game, this mod does not cover all. This mod will be updated over time and new settings will be added.
Right now the following categories exist to give you an idea:
Future plans:
-Add more game settings
-Add one button configurations
-Save configs and share them with others
You know helpful game settings, that should be added? Write a comment or send me a message!
My Other Mods:
Give me that bottle
Ever wondered that you drink a beer for example and the bottle is magically gone? With the new survival mode you could use the bottle to
get some water! But how to get this bottle!? Give Me That Bottle fixes
that and gives a bottle in return! This mod adds new water bottles and
cooking recipes to turn your dirty water into purified water
Better Explosives
Better Explosives overhauls explosives in Fallout 4.
The aim of this mod is to make explosives deadly, more fun and make them differ from each other.
Better Power Armor
Your Power Armor will now fully absorb the damage of ballistic and laser weapon types.
Each armor part will work individually and absorb the damage of the bodypart it covers.
When one power armor part breaks, only this bodypart that was covered will take damage.
Keep your power armor in a good state and it will protect you.

How to get MCM working on Mod Organizer 2.
The trouble with Mod Organizer 2 is that it stops mods generating new files. This is what is stopping settings being saved once people get the mods recognized by MCM.
Step 1:
Move the MCM folder from ModOrg 2\Fallout 4\Mods\
to
Fallout 4\ Data
Step 2:
Copy the name of the mods ESP file e.g. MCM_Demo.esp or QuickTrade.esp
Go to Fallout 4\ Data\MCM and generate a folder labeled «Settings» if needed.
Inside the Settings folder right click and make a new txt file.
Rename file to the name of the ESP file and change file extension to «ini» e.g. MCM_Demo.ini or QuickTrade.ini
That’s it. The mod will now appear in the MCM menu and settings will be persistent.
Also of note, a file called «Keybinds.json» may appear inside some folders in your Overwrite folder in Mod Organizer 2. This is where the keybindings are stored. You can leave it there or move it to the appropriate location inside Fallout 4\ Data\MCM\Settings.
Suggestion to mod authors.
Please add an appropriately named ini file inside the Settings folder for us MO2 users.
Follow the steps listed on this page, under the «How To Enable Fallout 4 Mods > How to enable modding» section.
FOR ANYONE NOT SEEING MCM IN PAUSE MENU.
DELETE (DEF UI) I just did and mcm works fine now they are incompatible.
hope this helps alot of you great people.
Does anybody know anyone or anywhere I can go to get some help in getting the MCM to actually work?
I have F4SE 0.6.21
I have mods that use MCM
I have tried reinstalling both the MCM, F4SE and even the game several times.
Still, whenever I pause the game, the MCM does not show up anywhere. So does anybody know what might be happening or where I could go to get this fixed?
I got Fallout 4 from steam if that makes any difference.
*** Edit removed the mention of mod managers for f4se. ***
Check to make sure everything is installed correctly and you are launching Fallout properly (see below). If you are still having problems try the links in this post or on the description page which is where I got them. I hope this helps.
1.) F4SE version 0.6.21 Only works with Fallout 4 ver. 1.10.163 available on Steam only.
2.) If you purchased F04 from windows store it will not work with F4SE.
3.) Fallout 4 VR will not work with this version and may not work with MCM check here MCM Discord for VR info.
If the requirements above have been met, verify that the MCM installation was done correctly.
1. After extracting the files. Verify that the files needed for f4SE are placed in the proper locations.
If you chose the default location for installing Steam, then make sure that.
f4se_1_10_163.dll, f4se_loader.exe, and f4se_steam_loader.dll is installed in.
C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4\
If you had chosen your own location like I had, then it might look like this.
X:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout4\
2. Be certain that you are launching the game by clicking on f4se_loader.exe
If everything matches above than check the MCM installation.
3. Be sure that these 4 files are in the correct locations
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout4\Data\MCM\Config\MCM
Settings.ini
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout4\Data\F4SE\Plugins
mcm.dll
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout4\Data\Interface
MCM.swf
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout4\Data\Scripts
MCM.pex
2 Files not listed are the readme.txt and the mcm.psc files (the latter is the script source code)
This is all you need to have MCM working. If you still have issues, you can get help on GITHUB here Github Issues or try the discord
server above.
FYI DEF_UI is a great HUD enhancement mod/program which should not cause any issues
with MCM. However, it is very customizable and that may cause issues and even conflicts for some.
